Document Preparation

Using An Attorney To Prepare Documents

It is not legally necessary to hire an attorney for your family law matter. However, there are some risks to attempting to navigate the Court system alone and ensure that your Orders are enforceable and that the Agreements are sufficient to achieve your goals. Even in an amicable divorce, there are numerous legal documents that must be completed. It can be extremely frustrating to have your documents returned to you by the Court due to insufficient information, incomplete documentation, or filing the wrong document. Worse yet is having your documents approved by the Court but not having the proper information contained therein to achieve your end result. Hiring an attorney to complete your legal documents, or at least review your documents before you file them with the court, may make sense for your situation.

We can draft a variety of Legal Documents to meet your objectives, including, but not limited to:

  • Marital Settlement Agreements
  • Pre-Nuptial Agreements
  • Petition for Dissolution/Response to Petition for Dissolution
  • Declaration of Disclosures
  • Stipulation and Orders
  • Request for Orders
